Day 8: Stigmatized NOT!

For the LORD God is our sun and our shield. He gives us grace and glory. The LORD will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right. – Psalm 84:11

I praise and thank God for my husband who cleaned and organized our home today.

It’s been a slow day for us since it’s a Sunday.

Instead of going to church, we opted to watch the Sunday service via live streaming since the heavens have been crying all day and night.

And since we don’t have a car for going to church, we decided to stay home to prevent the kids from getting sick.

After the wonderful Sunday service message, we took the chance to sort our things out so we can lessen the clutter by packing away those that needed to be put away.

My husband asked me to look into the kitchen stuff so he can start putting them in their respective places — on display (for our daily use), in the storage, or in the box for “shipping.”

After doing what I was asked to do, my husband took charge and cleared the kitchen of its clutter. He even swept and mopped the floor.

I thank the Lord for this man who is not afraid to be stigmatized.

Instead, he was willing to work with me and did what he could to help maintain cleanliness and order in our home.

There was no trace of shame in his face.

Yes, he was tired, but he was actually happy to help.

Yes, truly, the Lord withholds no good thing from those who do what is right.

I thank God for this man whom my son will model after.

I hope and pray that as my son grows older and wiser, he would also be sensitive and caring, and mindful of other people — always willing to help regardless of what the society dictates about the “roles” of men and women.

All by Your grace, Abba!

All by Your amazing grace!
