An Unexpected Gift
Our family went to the mall today to check out some ergonomic office furniture for my husband.
It’s a gift.
His client gave him, together with the rest of their team, a Christmas bonus — a health and wellness package. (What a blessing!)
This “package” could come in different forms. It could be a gym membership, cooking classes, yoga classes, and the like.
We went to different stores to check out the merchandise and to get the quotations. This way, it’s easier to compare and get the best deal of them all.
The Most Unexpected Gift
Walking beside my husband as I held on to his arm, walking from one store to the other, I was (and still am) in awe of our situation — we are husband and wife!
Yes, I know this is the fourth day I’ve been writing about it.
But it still feels like I’m dreaming (though I know I’m not).
Each day since we got married, the reality of being married to my husband slowly but surely sinks in.
Don’t get me wrong. It’s not that I don’t like it.
It’s just that it’s been a dream to me for so long. Now, that it’s happening, I still couldn’t believe that IT has actually happened (all thanks to my Father up there!).
We’re not playing “house” anymore.
(Note: I am not promoting or encouraging couples to live together until they have married. God’s blessing in marriage is too wonderful! If you’re single and available, do the right thing — save yourself for God and His best for you. Trust me, you’ll never regret it.)
Uncertainty Ascertained
The uncertainty of my future has now become certain — I will live my life walking with this good man until I see my Jesus face to face.
Living today as the missus of this gentle, loving, and understanding man of God, I find myself smiling at him and still convincing myself of this miracle.
Indeed, with God, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26).
Thank You, Jesus, for Your goodness!
Thank You, Jesus, for blessing my life not just with a good man but a man who loves and honors You.
Thank you for loving me through my husband. I praise You and thank You for the miracles You have done and continue to do in our lives like the wellness blessing You gave through my husband’s client.
May You continue to bless the work of my husband’s hands and continue to use him mightily wherever You place him. In Jesus’ name.
